Don't you hate it when you get pitch from a tree or board on your clothes or hands? I worked with lumber for a long time and got this tip from an old timer. Just reach for a bottle of 76% "rubbing alcohol." It quickly removes pitch with ease. This has worked a great many times for me.
I tend to pack a sloppy, gloppy sandwich for my lunch. Now, before I place this messy sandwich in the sandwich bag, I nestle it inside a coffee filter. When I pull my sandwich out of the bag with the filter at the base, none of my goodies remain in the bag. It's still between the bread, where it belongs. It also keeps your fingers clean while trying to eat your mess.
When a stain on your carpeting or upholstery occurs, take quick, easy action. First take SCOTT Towels and blot the stain until no more stain appears on the towels. Next take a bubbling bath cleaning aerosol spray and shake the can for at least 60 seconds so the foam is stiff. Spray on the carpet stain, or in the case of fabric, spray on a white terry cloth towel and dab the fabric. For carpeting, take a soft brush and work the spray into the stain. This works for old stains too, but a second or third spray maybe required. When carpet and fabric dries, there will not be any residue. I discovered this trick on my own and it works! I've shared my discovery with many friends, and they all remark how great it works!
You can use plain white SCOTT Towels in the microwave to keep it clean or to wrap sandwiches for heating and re-heating. That means not having to clean plates!
We take a small plastic bag with damp SCOTT Towels for cleaning up after snacks or eating messy treats at the movies, etc.
Put a small amount of toothpaste on a wet SCOTT Towel and rub gently in a circular motion until the burnt mark is gone. Clean up with the remaining part of the wet paper towel... The burn mark is removed in a flash!!
I have found that a SCOTT Towel and warm water easily cleans up messes like syrup spilled on the floor.
Place a moist SCOTT Towel between the plates of your countertop grill while it is still hot, but unplugged. After eating, when it has cooled, just wipe the grill clean. Do the same with the griddle. Place moist towels on the warm surface. It makes for easy clean-up after eating.
